What is this workshop about?
Be Brave Together is a free, 3-hour workshop that explores how everyday bravery can be a practical, ongoing part of life. It’s not about big heroic gestures—it’s about the small, real choices we make when life is hard or uncertain. This is a space to reflect, connect with others, and learn simple tools to help you move forward with more clarity and courage.

Who is it for?
Anyone who’s feeling stuck, stretched, overwhelmed, uncertain, or just wants to live a little more boldly. We offer versions for:
-
Adults
-
Teens
-
Children
-
Families (designed to help families practice bravery together)
No special background or experience is required. Just come as you are.
Do I have to speak or share personal things in front of the group?
No. Sharing is always optional. We’ll offer questions and activities to reflect on, and if you feel comfortable sharing—great. If not, that’s totally fine. There’s no pressure.

Is this therapy?
No. This is not a therapy group, even if one or more facilitators are mental health professionals. It’s a guided community experience meant to help you build a personal practice of everyday bravery. It’s reflective, supportive, and rooted in real-life application—not clinical work.

Is this religious or political?
No. The workshop is non-religious and apolitical. While it draws inspiration from Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde’s book How We Learn to Be Brave, there’s no religious content in the workshop, and no prior reading is required.

Is it really free?
Yes! This is a gift to the community. There is no cost, and you will not be asked to buy anything. Facilitators and sponsoring organizations are not allowed to charge for this offering.

How is it structured?
The workshop lasts about three hours and includes:
-
A mix of guided reflection and small-group conversation
-
Simple creative or interactive exercises (nothing intimidating!)
-
Practical ways to recognize and respond to defining moments in your own life
There’s a short break built in, and all materials are provided.
Can I do it online or in person?
Yes. We offer both options, depending on your location and schedule. When you sign up, you can indicate your preference—and we’ll match you with the best fit.

What if I want to lead a workshop like this?
We’d love that. There’s an option to attend a facilitator training after you’ve experienced the workshop for yourself. You can even sign up for both at the same time.

How do I sign up?
Just fill out the brief form on our [sign-up page] and select your preferred version and format. We’ll be in touch with available dates and next steps.
