Who We Are

Kathryn Wood, LCPC, RDT, LCPC

Kathryn Wood, LCPC, RDT  Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland and a Registered Drama Therapist with the North American Drama Therapy Association. She is committed to the idea that bravery is not a rare quality but a daily practice—through which every person is able to choose bravery over and over again in the face of uncertainty, discomfort, or change. Her work is grounded in the belief that meaningful lives aren’t built by avoiding what’s hard, but by moving toward what matters, even when the path is unclear.

Kathryn has built her career on creating space for those who have often felt outside the lines—those whose identities, questions, or ways of moving through the world don’t always fit conventional molds. With creativity, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s story, she brings a steady presence to the ongoing work of becoming—of showing up, telling the truth, and taking the next brave step.

Daniel Lyons, NP

Daniel Lyons is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who brings both professional expertise and personal experience to his work on Be Brave Together. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., and educated at Gonzaga College High School and Georgetown University, Daniel has spent his life in high-pressure environments—and knows firsthand what it feels like to struggle with focus, motivation, and meeting expectations. That lived insight shapes his work with individuals who are trying to make meaningful changes in their lives but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or burned out.

Daniel creates space for people to be honest about what’s hard and to discover what’s possible when they stop pretending they have it all together. His approach is rooted in deep listening, practical strategies, and a belief that growth happens when we stop avoiding discomfort and start choosing what matters most. With a warm, grounded presence and a strong sense of purpose, Daniel helps others move forward—not perfectly, but bravely.
